License & Usage Terms

1. License Grant

Subject to the terms and conditions of this license, BuildAir.ai grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use, modify, and build the Fabrica Cloth Folding Robot for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

2. Personal Use Definition

Personal use includes, but is not limited to:

• • Building Fabrica for use in your own home or household
• • Educational projects in schools, universities, and makerspaces (non-commercial)
• • Building as a personal gift for friends or family members (not for sale)
• • Hobby and learning purposes
• • Personal modifications and customizations for your own use
• • Sharing your build process, photos, and videos online for community engagement

3. Commercial Use Restrictions

Commercial use is strictly prohibited without obtaining a separate commercial license. Commercial use includes, but is not limited to:

• • Manufacturing complete Fabrica robots for sale
• • Selling 3D printed parts, components, or kits based on the Fabrica designs
• • Offering assembly services for payment
• • Using Fabrica in commercial laundry or clothing services
• • Including Fabrica designs or derivatives in commercial products
• • Selling modified versions or derivative works
• • Using in any business operation that generates revenue
• • Crowdfunding campaigns to manufacture for distribution (even "at cost")

4. Design Files and Documentation

All design files, including but not limited to 3D models (STL, STEP, 3MF files), circuit diagrams, software code, documentation, and instructions are provided for personal use only. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or sell these files or derivatives thereof without express written permission.

5. Modifications and Derivative Works

You are free to modify the Fabrica designs for your personal use. However, any modifications or derivative works are subject to the same non-commercial restrictions. If you create improvements or modifications, we encourage you to contribute them back to the project, but this is not required.

6. Attribution

When sharing photos, videos, or documentation of your Fabrica build online, please provide attribution to BuildAir.ai and link back to the official project page. This helps the community grow and supports continued development.

7. Commercial Licensing

If you are interested in commercial use of the Fabrica designs, including but not limited to:

• • Manufacturing and selling complete robots or kits
• • Selling 3D printed parts or components
• • Offering assembly or integration services
• • Using in commercial operations or products
• • Creating derivative commercial products

Please contact BuildAir.ai to discuss commercial licensing options. We welcome collaboration with businesses and entrepreneurs.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

THE FABRICA DESIGNS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL BUILDAIR.AI BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THESE MATERIALS.

9. Safety and Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your Fabrica build complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This includes electrical safety, mechanical safety, and any other relevant standards in your jurisdiction.

10. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Fabrica designs and destroy all copies in your possession.
